Lockheed Martin: Second To None (2006)

This particular video I did for Lockheed Martin is something of an anthem.  A very powerful video of which I am glad to have had the opportunity to work on.  It also won an ADDY Bronze Award, which we are all very proud of.  Check out the video by clicking here.

I had the honor of working with Erykah Badu when her post session in LA was not going the way she wanted. Through a mutual friend she ended up coming in to work with me. We spent around 18 hours putting together her vision of this video. It was an awesome session and to top it off the video won Best R&B Video of the year in May of 2001 at the MVPA Music Video Awards.

In mid 2000, a friend from work came to me and asked me to edit his independent, feature length film. It was a no-budget, totally shot on mini-DV film that he wrote, produced, directed (and eventually scored). I read the script and loved it, so I said yes. This was my first feature length film.

After I finished Hall of Mirrors I had the opportunity to help another friend out on a shorter independent film he did for a college project. It turned out really well, so I am including it here. It stars Johnny Sneed. It was written and directed by Kyle Killen.

An Eye for Detail (2002)

In May 2002, I put together a team from my company to participate in the Dallas Video Festival's first "24-Hour Video Contest". We had from midnight on Friday night to midnight on Saturday night to completely conceive of, write, produce, shoot, edit, and post a five minute video based on a theme we received at midnight on Friday night. Our theme was "Photo Finish". We had a location we had to use: a school ("any school"), and a prop (a wind-up rolling eyeball). It was a great team building experience and a lot of fun for the 30 of us that made up our team. Our video was voted best in our category by popular vote through the Dallas Video Festival's website. I did all the editing.  We had about 18 actors volunteer their time, and our star role was filled by the gracious and talented Burton Gilliam!
